Brim Explorer · City Hall waterfront, Oslo
Brim Explorer's evening cruise serves a three-course seasonal menu by the chefs of Restaurant Einer, with a live musician, on an electric boat from City Hall Pier 2. Pick it if you want one relaxed evening on the fjord instead of a sightseeing loop in the middle of the day.

This is the same company as the silent sightseeing cruise, with the guide swapped for a kitchen and a musician. The menu is set by the Oslo restaurant Einer and leans on seafood and seasonal vegetables with a dessert to finish. Pescatarian and vegetarian versions are available, but dietary needs must reach Brim at least 24 hours ahead. Tap water is free; wine, beer and other drinks come from a licensed bar at extra cost.
Brim sails at 18:00 from Thursday to Monday, all year (Visit Oslo), and the same page caps the group at 60 guests. The route loops past the Opera House, Akershus Fortress, MUNCH, the islands and old summer houses along the shore while you eat in a heated saloon with big windows, with an outdoor deck for the sunset. In June that sunset comes near 22:45, long after you are back. In winter you dine in the dark with the city lights.
Plan for about 2.5 hours; Visit Oslo says up to three. Do not expect a full guided tour: there is a host, not a commentary. Book well ahead for summer weekends, as fewer seats are on offer than on the daytime boats.
Meet at Rådhusbrygge 2, before Piren restaurant, 15 minutes before departure.
The boat slips out past Akershus Fortress as the first course arrives.
The quiet stretch: islands and summer houses outside the windows, music inside.
Out on deck for the Opera House and MUNCH on the way back in.
Off in the centre, five minutes from Aker Brygge's bars.
